Cappadocia Pilgrimage Tour - This is a tour of the most important and famous temples of Cappadocia. The churches we will visit during this tour belong to the Christian temples of the Orthodox Church, but it will also be interesting for people of other faiths as this tour is also a cultural tour where tourists will be able to appreciate the beauty and splendour of early Christian and Byzantine architecture and painting.
Itinerary of the tour:
- Your first stop will be the Goreme Open Air Museum. This is a huge complex of two dozen churches, eight of which are open to tourists. The list of churches you will visit includes the Tokala Church, the Dark Church, the Sandalia Church, the Apple Church and other churches that are part of the museum. It is worth mentioning that the museum is on the UNESCO list, which shows how important these places are for the cultural heritage of mankind.
- Your next stop will be another open air museum. The Zelve Open Air Museum. In the XI century A.D. the Zelve Rock Monastery appeared on the territory of the museum, which later overgrew several churches and became an important centre of the Christian world at that time. On the territory of the museum there are also the famous churches of Grape, Fish and Deer. This is one of the most important cultural sites in the region and a visit is a must.
- A delicious lunch awaits us before we lazily stretch out to the last stop of our Mustafapasha tour.
-Mustafapasha is a small town that is home to St Stephen's Church, Monastery and St Nicholas Chapel. After visiting the above places, we will go to the Monasteries Valley, there are several truly beautiful temples that will surprise you with the variety of their architecture and painting.
-We will only visit three of these places, but do not let this fool you, as all the places we will visit are large complexes with dozens of different attractions, so our tour will be extremely rich and full of impressions.
The open-air museum in Goreme is an important place
for pilgrims for several reasons:1. **Religious Significance:** Goreme has a rich history related to Christianity. Numerous churches carved into the rocks are decorated with frescoes depicting religious scenes. These churches served as places of prayer and worship, and for pilgrims, especially Christian ones, visiting these sacred sites can have a special spiritual meaning.
Historical Heritage:** The open-air museum in Göreme is a unique archaeological and historical treasure. This place reflects ancient customs and ways of life, as well as preserves the Christian heritage of the region.
3. Architectural & Natural Wonders:** Pilgrims can be drawn to the amazing architecture of the rock-cut churches, many of which have unique frescoes and artifacts. Also, natural formations such as fireworks from stone towers (fire chimney) create an impressive landscape that can be perceived as part of the divine creative force.
4. Connecting with the Community:** Pilgrims visiting sites with spiritual and historical significance can feel closer to their faith and to other pilgrims, which contributes to a strong community.
5. Educational Experience: Visiting a museum can also be an educational experience where pilgrims can learn more about the history, traditions, and culture of the region, as well as their impact on the development of Christianity.
Goreme Open Air Museum provides pilgrims with the opportunity to connect their faith with history and culture, creating a deep and spiritual experience.
The Zelve Museum in Cappadocia is an open-air archaeological complex that includes rock-cut cloisters, churches, and houses carved into soft tuffs. Zelve has been an inhabited area since antiquity and is one of the characteristic examples of Cappadocian architecture.
That's why a visit to the Zelve Museum can be important for pilgrims and tourists

Cappadocia. Göreme June 2018 • For two We went to Cappadocia not really imagining what kind of terrain and what is interesting. Stayed in Gorem. On the first evening, walking around the city, came across the travel agency escotour. We went in, talked, and we were on our red tour this morning. Then green. Then blue. Blue tour for some reason is not popular among tourists. So we actually got an individual tour at a group price. And he was very interesting! We finished our trip to Cappadocia on a Jeep safari. Cappadocia is an amazing area with an interesting history. Thank you so much to Escotour for your professionalism and willingness to help!
Awesome Cappadocia! Aug. 2018 • Family holidays This is the most incredible and unforgettable journey! Thank you to our guide Cezai! We found the company Esco Tur on the Internet, and agreed to meet on arrival in Gorem. A great guide who knows Cappadocia thoroughly, who is well versed in history, very pleasant in communication, answered all questions, joked with children. Everything is organized at a height: transfer from the hotel, a very tasty lunch, a comfortable minibus. Since we were with the kids (10 years old and 1.9g) and the band is small, Sezai suggested a more interesting version of the green tour, we really liked it, no one was tired! A nice bonus was a 50% discount on the older child. Sezai is a guide with a capital letter! It is obvious that a person loves his work and lives it! Thank you for your professionalism and full dedication to your favorite business!
Thank you!! May 2019 • For two Unforgettable experience of flying in a balloon!! Thank you for arranging the flight. It was great!! Recommended 🙂
Fabulous landscapes! Aug. 2019 We went to Cappadocia from Kemer. The tour is called Cappadocia Tour. With plans to ride a balloon. I'll start in order. The road from Kemer to Nevsehir (overnight in a 4 star hotel) was 10 hours. Let me explain why: the route to Cappadocia begins in the area of Side - Manavgat (500 km - 6 hours). Therefore, another 3 hours takes only the road to Side - Manavgata - the meeting place of all participants of the excursion. But this does not darken the impression of what you see. Throughout the road, they stopped at panoramas, beautiful views: Uchhisar Fortress, Goreme open-air museum, underground cities, all sorts of valleys (doves, love, panorama of other cities, hotel in stones). Indeed, bizarre mountains, unreal views, all mountains are dotted with holes and dwellings of residents. The guide tells the story of the formation of all this. That's how the first day goes. We arrive at the hotel tonight. We lived in 4 stars, Tashsarai Hotel. Nice hotel, cool meals, nice rooms. New plumbing, slippers, towels. It's as it should be. The next morning, they planned a balloon flight. But alas, the cancellation due to the wind (over 13 m / s.) before our arrival for 4 days did not fly for the same reason. So you can come this far and not ride a balloon. Not even on the observation deck, so there is nothing to see. So, before breakfast, we wandered around the city, met the dawn on the main square, talked with local dogs. After breakfast again on the road back. new views, valleys, panoramas, crafts of locals, the city of Konya (to information: 2 million inhabitants). But, despite everything, the tour leaves an indelible impression of what you saw. The mere fact that you are in the center of Turkey (we have located our location via satellite on the map) makes such travel special. memorable. Yes, I forgot to say: the road runs through the mountains, the beginning of the way is chic serpentine, picturesque mountain views.
Cappadocia May 2019 We just walked by and walked in. As a result, we received a lot of impressions from excursions. Everything was organized clearly and professionally. I especially liked the individual tour (the group did not gather). We were taken to places where tour groups do not reach. Far away in the mountains we saw temples that were much better preserved than the temples in the valley. We saw abandoned villages. We roamed the mountains and enjoyed peace and quiet. We also took an individual safari tour. It was really great!
Liked March 2020 • For two We took a green tour with this agency. Everything went without any deviations, exactly according to schedule. Russian speaking guide. The route is interesting, of course we would have walked longer on our own through the underground city in Kaymakli and the Ilhara Valley and the fantastic Selime Monastery, but then we definitely wouldn’t have fit into the available time frame. We also talked a lot with the manager named Mustafa, he speaks excellent Russian. Helped with organizing the transfer, and was simply a pleasant conversationalist. I really liked the attitude towards clients. They will always help you and offer you tea, coffee and juice. We'll definitely come here again on our next trip to Goreme. Greetings from Kazan!
Red private tour Feb. 2021 • For two Enjoyed the beautiful Cappadocia in the company of guide Sezai. We visited the Goreme open-air museum, all the chapels, the Valley of Love and Imagination, and looked at the pottery factory in Avanos. Everything was clearly organized, we were picked up from the hotel on time, we were on time everywhere, there was free time, lunch and entrance tickets are included in the price of the Excursion. Sezai is a pleasant, intelligent person, speaks excellent Russian, and presents the material in an informative, understandable and interesting way! Answered all questions and gave recommendations for the next days. I recommend this agency.
Interesting, rich, bright, colorful, romantic Feb. 2021 • For two My wife and I came to Cappadocia for just one day (2 nights). There is very little time, but there are a lot of interesting things around. This is a rock-fortress, and an underground city, and ancient Christian churches, and much, much more. How to be on time everywhere?! It’s good that before our trip to Cappadocia we contacted Sezai, our guide, who, through his agency, organized the entire program in the best possible way: meeting at Kayseri airport, transfer to Germe, accommodation in an authentic hotel stylized as a cave city, optimal excursion route to the most interesting places , interesting and educational excursion in good Russian, return transfer to Kayseri airport. It was very interesting and informative. We really regretted that, due to an early flight to Istanbul, we were not able to take part in a very spectacular and beautiful event: a mass balloon flight. We thank Sezai for organizing this trip, for a beautiful excursion that he conducted with sincere love for his country, with hospitality and respect for tourists visiting Cappadocia. We hope that we will return to Cappadocia and take a romantic and unforgettable flight over it in a hot air balloon!
Emotions are running high! Apr. 2021 • With friends I really liked Cappadocia!!! Incredible landscapes, friendly hosts, delicious traditional cuisine!!! Special thanks to guide Caesar🙏 A memorable excursion to the underground city, national park, valley of illusions! Interesting, easy and great sense of humor) We will be back again, since we weren’t able to fly in the balloons (the weather was windy for 4 days. But we weren't bored. I recommend riding ATVs, a special drive and beautiful scenery!
May 2021 • With friends Thank you very much!!!! Our trip with you was unforgettable!!! Everything is good... starting from the guide and ending with comfortable transport!!! Everyone is very friendly and ready to help not only with questions about the excursion... but also in other matters!!!! Thank you so much again🤗🤗🤗 I recommend it☝🏻
Admirably! Jul. 2021 • Friends Good afternoon! At the beginning of July, I went from Side to Cappadocia on an excursion. I really wanted to take a very beautiful photo at sunrise with balloons, but the agency from which I went offered only the place to which all the tourists who came that day would be taken, and there were at least 100 of them in total. And I wanted it individually!!!!! Ordering a personal photo shoot was a bit expensive for me, and I began to look for other options on the Internet on how to meet the sunrise with balloons and so that no one would interfere with me taking these photos against the background of balloons. And I found it!!!! This is TT Travel, which offered a "Breakfast with Balls" tour. I was very pleased with the price, as at that time there was a discount of as much as 50% of the total cost!!! Everything went perfectly!!! 100% organization. Everything was very tasty and beautiful!!!! However, there was no time for food when the balloons went up.If any of my friends go to Cappadocia, I will recommend this agency!!!!!!
The best guide Aug. Aug. 2021 • Friends We spontaneously flew to Cappadocia for one day, unfortunately due to the weather it was not possible to admire the scenery and meet the sunrise in a hot air balloon, but thanks to the guide Bigimai from the Divan Cave House hotel, our day in Cappadocia went with a bang, there were only emotions after a one-day tour.🤗
We will definitely come back!! Let's continue to explore these beautiful places, mesmerizing in their grandeur. Dec Aug. 2021 • Friends We booked a tour without really reading the reviews. We spent our vacation in Istanbul, decided to go to Cappadocia in just 5 minutes. Everything was perfectly organized. From the airport pick-up to the transfer, the hotel exceeded all expectations. The whole team is doing a great job. A low bow to the whole team.
Cappadocia is awesome! Apr Aug. 2023 We went with a group from INELTA TRAVEL. I liked everything! Turkish-style Garden Hotel, English-speaking Sezai guide! He knew how to fill in the pauses and offer something in return. For example, unfortunately, the balloon flight did not take place due to weather conditions.
Fabulous and unforgettable Cappadocia! Apr Aug. 2023 • Friends Loved! Cappadocia is a fabulous, extraordinary place! Sezai's guide is a competent and interesting storyteller. I recommend it to everyone! 👍
Rigans are delighted with Cappadocia and TT Travel Apr Aug. 2023 • Friends On behalf of the group of Riga residents who visited beautiful Cappadocia from April 8 to 10, 2023 with INELTA Travel, we express our deep gratitude to the travel agency TT Travel for the excellent organization of the tour. Everything was thought out in the organization of our tour: the meeting of the guide with the group at the Nefshehir airport, and panoramic stops even before checking into the hotel, and a very colorful Boutique Hotel Garden Inn, and, of course, a perfectly executed excursion program. I would especially like to note our guide Sezai for his high professionalism and friendly attitude to tourists. We fully felt the Turkish hospitality and cordiality, care for each of us. And even though we did not manage to fly on balloons this time due to weather conditions, thanks to Sezai, we saw so many interesting and unusual things that we fell in love with this amazing, unreal land! We will definitely come again and fly not only in a dream, but also in reality! We will use the services of TT again_Travel and recommend it to others. With them, it is reliable, interesting, and of high quality! Inessa
